Telepathy is the ability to send or receive thoughts and feelings over a distance. This is a form of communication which happens directly between two minds without the use of any of the five standards senses. It’s also an ability which every person has the capacity for.
You’ve already used your natural telepathic abilities, although you may not have recognized it as such. One example is the common experience of thinking of a person who you haven’t had any contact from in a long time; and then getting a letter, phone call or email from this person shortly after, sometimes even at the same time that you’re thinking of them!
This wasn’t a coincidence. What happened is that you or the other person initiated some sort of telepathic contact and there was an exchange of thoughts or feelings which one of you sent and the other received.
Usually, they have unconsciously sent you their thoughts telepathically and you received them with the result that this person comes to mind. You may have had the same experience in reverse as well; you call someone who you haven’t talked to in some time and find them completely unsurprised to hear from you.
Despite being very common, most people are doubtful of the existence of telepathy or that learning telepathy is something which they can do. A lot of us are held back by religious indoctrination which teaches us that these kinds of abilities are certainly the work of evil forces. Others are reserving judgment, doubting telepathy unless and until it is scientifically proven and accepted as fact.
There are also those who while not skeptical about the idea of telepathy are unconvinced of the value of telepathic communication. We have the power of speech; the reasoning goes, so why would we need this ability? Since it is not something which is generally considered important enough to encourage its development in children, why should one learn to use this natural human ability? The fact is that telepathy is just as useful of a means of communication as are written and spoken language, but it has simply not been made a part of our culture in the way that language has; which does not mean that it is not worth learning.
In fact, spoken language and telepathy can be complements to each other. Sometimes the spoken word is incapable of expressing exactly what we mean; conversely, telepathy can sometimes fail to convey the shadings and nuances that spoken language can. Being able to communicate with both allows you to make yourself completely understood.
Developing your telepathic communication abilities has a number of benefits. It is literally learning a sixth sense and lets you communicate in a more direct and intimate way with those around you. While it’s not hard to learn telepathy per se, it does take practice like acquiring any new skill.
Partnering up with a close friend who is also interested in learning telepathy is the best way to practice this natural ability. It makes learning easier, quicker and more fun too!
Your practice sessions should be done with you at your home and your partner at theirs. This keeps you from picking up on facial expressions and other cues. Make sure that you’re both relaxed and free of stress before you begin ” this will facilitate your communications.
You’ll take turns with your partner; one will go first and try to establish a telepathic communications channel. Visualize your partner as clearly as you can and then imagine something connection you and your partner. Most people choose to visualize a ray of light, but anything which works for you will do fine.
The next step is to use this visualized link to send your telepathic communications. Imagine your thoughts traveling over this link and your partner receiving them. Keep your thoughts simple enough to understand, but pick something to send which won’t be easy to guess.
After you feel that you have sent your telepathic signal, call your partner to ask what they received from you. Once you compare notes, take a few minutes to rest and then switch places with the sender in the first exercise now being the receiver.
This takes practice and time to develop, so limit your transmission attempts to 15 minutes and rest in between ” telepathy can be mentally exhausting when you’re not accustomed to it and you want to prevent yourself from getting frustrated if you don’t succeed right away.
Learning telepathy takes practice, patience, persistence and positivity. Don’t give up and you’ll start being able to use your telepathic abilities soon enough ” and a whole new world will be open to you.
